This semester’s RSEi directors and society meeting brought together alumni officers, current directors, and society members for a full day of discussion, reflection, and collaboration. The event created a structured space for cross-generational engagement and helped align the organization on goals for the remainder of the academic year.
The day began with a dedicated session for alumni officers to reconnect and share insights from their experiences since graduating. This space allowed them to reflect on how RSEi shaped their professional paths and to discuss ways they can continue supporting the organization moving forward. Their perspectives set a meaningful tone for the rest of the meeting, emphasizing both continuity and growth.

Next, alumni officers and current RSEi directors participated in a joint discussion focused on organizational direction and shared priorities. This conversation centered on leadership development, improving internal processes, and strengthening alumni engagement within ongoing initiatives. The exchange of ideas between past and present leadership helped reinforce continuity while also encouraging innovation.

A key component of the day was the organization-wide breakout sessions. Members participated in “Start, Stop, Continue” exercises led by directors, across different areas of RSEi’s operations and programming. These small-group discussions encouraged open feedback and collaboration, allowing participants to identify new initiatives to begin, practices that should be discontinued, and successful efforts that should be maintained. The format encouraged active participation and ensured that a wide range of perspectives contributed to shaping the organization’s future.

The event concluded with the full Society Meeting, where all attendees reconvened to share insights about the organization and what’s to come soon. This final gathering helped unify the organization around shared priorities and established clear next steps for upcoming work.

We’d like to make a special congratulations to our graduating seniors. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment have played a meaningful role in shaping RSEi, and their contributions will continue to have a lasting impact on the organization. We are grateful for everything they have given to this community and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish next.

Overall, the Spring 2026 Directors & Society Meeting was a productive and engaging event that strengthened connections across all levels of RSEi. By combining alumni experience, director leadership, and member-driven feedback, the organization continues to build momentum and clarity heading into the next semester.
