Membership in The Rensselaer Society of Engineering Innovation (RSEi) is open to all students in the Rensselaer community that share the mission and vision of RSEi and have a desire to support the activities and principles of the organization. Contrary to what the name may imply, members major in any of RPI’s disciplines: engineering, science, management, architecture, and the arts. RSEi members are active in campus and local activities as well as many national organizations. RSEi student members will build life-long relationships and networks with fellow students and Rensselaer alumni.

  • Full Member Responsibilities
    • Full Members participate in all aspects of RSEi’s mission, including:
      • Leadership/Teamwork/Collaboration ‐ academic achievement, professional and personal development through networking with alumni, faculty and students, within an independent, student‐run organization,
      • Innovation ‐ entrepreneurship, research, product development, process improvement and,
      • Social Responsibility ‐ activities involving sustainability, community activities, and philanthropy.
    • Full Members have participated in previous organization activities and have gone through the organization’s educational and induction program. Full Members are eligible to take on the leadership roles of the organization.
    • Full Members are eligible to live in any time during or after their sophomore year, however, if a full member opts to live-out then they will still have access to our astounding house and all its attributes.
  • Associate Members
    • Associate Members participate in all aspects of RSE’s mission, have access to RSE’s facility at 1501 Sage Ave and have an interest in becoming Full Members.
