RSE Alumni Director, Mark Anderson and RSEi Live-in Advisor, Garrett Gagnon, attended the recent Mental Health Workshop. Organized by the Alumni Fraternity and Sorority Council (AFSC). With presentations by Dean Ryan and members of the campus support community, the two primary topics were Balancing School, Clubs, and Organizations and Building Holistic Balance and Community – Self-Awareness and Social IQ followed by a group activity lead by our campus Health Educator, Lauryn Maleski. Representatives from chapters participated both in person and via a web conference connection.
A large amount of contact and reference information was shared at the event, with everything available on-line as well. A key message was that for students not aware of how to engage with the various student services, Dean Ryan has committed his Dean of Students Office (DOSO) team to help direct and connect students to the services they need across campus.
This was the second workshop held by the AFSC on mental health. Mark and Grrett also attended the first one.
RSE / RSEi thanks the AFSC for their service to our Greek community.
