Summer Renovations at the Rensselaer Society of Engineering Innovation House
This summer, the Rensselaer Society of Engineering Innovation (RSEi) at 1501 Sage Avenue in Troy, NY, embarked on significant renovations to enhance the living and communal spaces for its members. These upgrades reflect the organization’s commitment to harboring a collaborative and innovative environment for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) students.
Modernizing the Third Floor
The third floor of the house underwent a comprehensive transformation. Previously a shared locker storage area, it has been reimagined to include four private bedrooms, a new study room, and a common area designed for relaxation and social interaction. This renovation aims to provide members with a comfortable and conducive environment for both academic and personal growth.

Upgrading the Kitchen Facilities
Recognizing the importance of quality dining facilities, the kitchen has been equipped with new industrial-grade appliances, including a dishwasher/sanitizer for our dishware. These upgrades ensure that members and our new professional chef have access to modern cooking amenities, supporting their nutritional needs and creating a sense of community during shared meals.

Continued Commitment to Excellence
RSEi‘s dedication to maintaining and improving its facilities is evident in these renovations. By investing in the house’s infrastructure, the organization continues to provide a supportive and dynamic environment for its members, aligning with its mission to promote professional development, networking, and support among engineering students and alumni. These enhancements not only improve the daily living experience for current members but also uphold the legacy of RSEi as a part of the RPI community.
